How high is a stack of 6000 ASL boards?

I can’t exactly answer that question in inches, but I can share what it looks like. I visited the printers on Friday and signed off on the last details, and was able to peek into the production area and see HG2 in process. It is very impressive to see our hard work in its final state.

(click to enlarge) That is a palette full of all four maps for High Ground 2 being processed for packaging.

(click to enlarge) The scenarios cards have been printed as well, and I think it is very interesting to see them in the form that they are produced. There are basically half of the scenario cards shown in the picture, and they get printed together on large rolls and then trimmed down to normal size.

Everything is on track to get production wrapped up soon. I expect to have them in my hands by the end of the month, and in your hands soon after that, especially if I see you at ASLOK!

Thanks,

Sam Tyson

As of this morning, everything for Blood & Jungle has been sent to the printers. It took months of hard work by all of us, but the end result will surely be worth waiting for.

For the main printer, I transferred 2.25 GB of compressed digital goodness, and 11 MB to the counter printers.

With the hard part of this project behind us, we are looking ahead to next year and planning our next two releases. Not enough decisions finalized at this point to announce anything, but we will be in full production again in January.

Why is it so difficult to get a business to take a customers money? I am perfectly willing to provide cash for services, so why is it so hard to provide customer service to me?

Not returning phone calls, unfulfilled promises, late delivery if any… fine examples of the wonderful world of dealing with 4 different printers lately. I can’t print it myself, or I would.
